One-of-a-kind furniture design has never been easier! Customize this Live Edge Dining Table Top and Metal Hourglass Legs to your specific dimensions, wood type, and finish to receive a custom, ready to use table.

Once your order is received, a member of our team will reach out with up to 3 table top set options for you to choose from, depending on available stock.

Each top is built from sustainably sourced Bookmatched Live Edge Slabs that are hand selected by our wood experts. Tree growth is affected by many different variables, which leads to different grain patterns, color variation, and figure in each log. This means no two bookmatched sets are the same, and this natural variation makes each custom top a unique and individual piece for your home or business.

As a natural element, wood will gradually show signs of aging as it reacts to its environment, leading to beautiful changes over time.

Finished & Ready to use!

This Table Top & Legs come Fully Finished and ready to use!
Your Table Top is built to dimensions, flattened on both sides, finish sanded to a 220 grit on the top side, all large voids/cracks filled with epoxy*, and sealed with your choice of Satin Lacquer or Rubio Monocoat Oil Finish.
*Epoxy will be natural colored to match selected wood type. If you'd like colored epoxy, this is available at an additional charge. Please add your desired epoxy color to your order notes and a team member will be in touch!

Table Legs are built to size and selected finish.

Choose Your Wood Type Choose your desired Live Edge Wood Types to get the perfect match for your home's decor. *Each species will have natural color variations. Black Walnut Tables may or may not contain Sapwood, depending on available boards. White Woods may or may not contain spalting.
*Species listed are what we frequently have in stock. If you have a different wood type in mind, we are happy to see if we have it available at the time of your order! Choosing a different wood type may incur an additional cost.

Choose Your Dimensions

Select your desired Table Top Dimensions from the Drop Down box. All Live Edge Table Tops will be 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" Thick, depending on available slabs. Widths may have a variance of +/- 5" from Selected Width Measurement due to Live Edges. Table Tops will be crafted to your selected width dimensions using anywhere from 1 to 4 pieces.

The Length on the options sent may be longer than your selected dimension. If you select a longer option, our shop will cut the slab(s) to length at their discretion.
*If you would like to preserve certain areas of the slab, please be aware there may be an additional charge.

Choose Your Finish

Choose to have your table and wood legs finished with our Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C or Commercial Grade Indoor Satin Lacquer. Both finishes are protective and bring out the gorgeous color and character of the wood!

Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is a hard-wax oil finish that sinks into the surface of the wood to seal it leaving a more matte, natural finish. Satin Lacquer is a more traditional finish that leaves a stunning satin sheen.

**When Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C is selected as the finish, the bottom/back side of the piece will be sealed with Satin Lacquer and the Top/Sides will have the Rubio applied. Rubio can be applied to both sides upon request at an additional cost.

Hourglass Metal Table Legs

Hourglass Metal Table Legs are built to a dining table size of 28" Tall x 28" Wide, and finished according to your selection. Top Mounting plate may be built wider than 28", depending on the table tops selected width.

Choose Your Table Leg Finish

Raw Steel Finish is a great option if you're looking to paint or finish the table legs on your own. The legs will come to you built to size, with all welds ground, and no coating so they're ready for you to put on your desired paint or finish. Raw Steel that does not have any protective coating on it is prone to rust over time. We highly suggest sealing the legs at home with a primer/paint or clear coat finish meant for use on metal.
**Some oxidation may occur in transit and is easily removed with a Brillo pad or brush.

Powder Coating Finish creates a durable finish that helps protect while adding a pop of color to your design. We offer a variety of Powder Coat colors, which can be viewed and selected right on the product page! There is an additional fee of $150 for the Powder Coating finish, and custom colors may be available at an additional charge.

Leg Installation & Placement All mounting hardware will be included with your table top & metal legs. Mounting hole will be pre-drilled on the bottom side of the table for easy layout and mounting upon arrival.

On Tables 72" - 84" in Length: Mounting Holes will be drilled 12" in from each end. On Tables 96"+ in Length: Mounting holes will be drilled 18" in from each end. Actual leg placement can be adjusted upon arrival if desired.

Common Questions

Q: Are these pictures of the actual slab(s) I will receive, or just one similar?
The pictures you see with this listing are pictures of the exact slab you will receive. Each item is listed as a one of a kind product that can only be sold once. See the “Description” tab for more details regarding this item.

Q: I don't need both (or all) slabs, can I just purchase one of them?
Unfortunately, we cannot split up any of the packages. However, we do have slabs that are sold in singles as well. You can narrow your search down by using our search filters that correlate with your dimensions. You may also use our online chat service to speak with a wood expert while that can help you find various options while you are browsing.

Q:  How do the slabs come if I don’t select any finishing options?
A majority of our slabs are planed on both sides before they are listed on the site. This helps smooth out some of the marks left from the saw. You would then have some sanding to do before a finish was applied.

Q:  Can you guys custom cut this slab to my dimensions?
Absolutely! We have a full shop that can custom cut any of the slabs. If you have any drawings or sketches of your design, you can always send those directly to service@thelumbershack.com to discuss your project with one of our wood experts!

Q:  I see I can add epoxy to my order. What do you offer, and how do I specify want I want?
We do offer epoxy fill services on any slab that is being fully finished by us. This is a popular choice for river table slabs, or any slabs that may have some larger voids or cracks. We use TotalBoat and West Systems epoxy, and have many different colors and shades in blue, gold, copper, black, white, red, purple, and many more! If you would like to add this to your order, please add a note in the notes section when you go to checkout. From there, someone from our team will contact you with a quote and to discuss your design details.

Q:  Does “live edge” mean there is still bark on the slab?
The term live edge does not necessarily mean that the slab still has bark on the edges. Often times, the bark has fallen off, and the live edge refers to the surface just below the bark. This has a smoother texture than bark, but still has a very natural look. If the bark is still intact, this will be listed in the Product Features section of the listing.

Q:  It says the slab has been planed on both sides. How is that different from flattening?
Most of our slabs are finished planed on both sides. This means the slab was ran through our planer to smooth out the surface of the wood. The main difference is that the planer will not flatten/sand out any of the tapers, bows, cups, or twists that the slab is listed with. You can find these details in the Description section of this listing. The flattening services would remove any tapers, bows, cups, or twists listed with that slab, leaving you with a perfectly level surface on one or both sides of your slab.
